Steeler Addicts recently had the opportunity to speak with the Pittsburgh Steelers corner, Ike Taylor. On behalf of the members and staff of Steeler addicts we would like to publicy thank Ike for his time and giving us the opportunity to ask him some questions.

Koopa: Has Tomlin helped make you a better corner or do you still feel you are the same player you have always been?
Ike: Yes definitely. He asked me, "do you want to be good or do you want to be great?" For some reason that has stuck with me and has helped a lot.

Steelx: The Rivalry between Cleveland and Pittsburgh has seemed to fade since the movement of the Browns organization. Is it the same way on the field or is it still intense? If the Browns are not your most hyped rival then who is?
Ike: I really don't think there is a rivalry but I definitely think we have one with the Ravens.

strong D: What is it like playing for the black and gold knowing that no matter where you go to play there is always a large steelers fan base?
Ike: Oh it's great. Anywhere we go from California to Florida the Black and Gold are there. As a player it means a lot to see that in the stands. We appreciate it more than you know!

PsychoWard: Who is the biggest influence in your life and why?
Ike: My son because he has taught me to be unselfish.

HawkBeliever: Back in the SB XL, Darrel Jackson of the Seahawks had a really big first quarter. He then got shut down the rest of the game. I am curious to know what adjustments, if any, they made in the backfield to eliminate Jackson as a factor.
Ike: You know, to be honest... I really don't remember. Sorry.

SteelerSal: How much, if any, has Tomlin been involved with the defense and has he mentioned any possible changes towards converting to the Tampa 2 in the near future.
Ike: Yes he has but he has an open mind with the 3-4 defense. Maybe changes will come but he has an open mind.

BR7: Describe what it took to go from a player at a small school with limited experience at corner to one of the better cover guys in the NFL, and what was the biggest challenge?
Ike: Just dedication and always trying to get better and faster. That's why I work out in the off-season with Coach Tom Shaw. Got to keep the focus because there is always someone coming in who is bigger and faster.

BB2W: What receiver that you have played against presents the biggest challenge?.... Who is the hardest to cover, and why?
Ike: They all are challenges - no doubt. I guess Chad is the hardest to cover because he is tall AND fast and most receivers who are tall aren't that fast. It's the smaller ones who are fast.

Prosdo: How different are Cowher and Tomlin in leading a team? Do you like the changes or do you miss some things from the Cowher era?
Ike: Change is always good. We're professionals and you adjust.

TEEMONT: Do you ever checkout NFL fan sites on the internet and if so do you participate on them or just read?
Ike: Naw not at all.

Top Gun: If you weren't playing football right now, what would you be doing with your life?
Ike: That's a real good question. Probably be working with kids as a social worker or maybe working with my Uncle Herm in his janitorial business that I used to help out with in high school. Maybe even working with Coach Tom Shaw.
