Butler Turns Down 'Phins
With Al Groh opting to become the defensive coordinator at Georgia Tech, the Tuna's team is still looking for a successor to Paul Pasqualoni.
And they'll have to keep looking. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that Steelers linebackers coach Keith Butler received an offer to become the Dolphins defensive coordinator, and Butler declined. Butler, per the Post-Gazette, is regarded as the favorite to succeed Dick LeBeau, when he eventually retires as defensive coordinator of the Steelers. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...-dolphins-job/ |

Good news, hope he does take over for DL when he retires. He's been learning from him for 7 seasons.

Butler's got a great group of linebackers to work with and there's no reason to think 2010 will be anything but a great year for his unit. He has his work cut out for him with Farrior clearly losing a step in 2009, but overall he's a good coach and I'm glad he's staying on.
