Greetings from the West Coast!

Greetings fellow addicts!!

As I type my first posting, it's about 12 hours 'til kickoff! A Pennsylvania native, I'm out here traveling in CA & just moved here to the beach town of Santa Cruz. I stumbled across this website while searching the web for a sports bar for the game! (The bar list is a great feature!!) I may be a long way from Pittsburgh, but have never been far from the next Steeler fan (we really ARE everwhere!!) and am definitely feeling right at home here on this site. Great to 'meet' you all....looking forward to hearing from fellow fans!!

Time to rest up for game day! HERE WE GO STEELERS, HERE WE GO!

We are everywhere it is amazing to walk into any sports bar on a sunday afternoon wearing the Black and Gold and come across people not only Steeler fans but Steeler fans from Western Pa. I'm stuck in Colt country. Sad to say in a nuring home/rehab and 2 or 3 of my nurses/aides are from Pa. Good thing I got my comp this week and know of people that stream the games. They already said the'd be coming to me for updates. So welcome from a newbie myself.

Great to hear from you, fellow newbie! You are right - every place I've found to watch games here in CA has been full of Steelers fans! One place even had it's own room for us! (I guess we took over...Lol) A number of fans I have met here have never even been to PA or the east coast....just admired the old players & took on the Steelers as their team. You are in a nursing home/rehab currently? I hope you are doing ok...

Welcome WestCoastSteeler fan! Yes, there are a lot of us out here in California. I am in Ridgecrest, CA. I was born and raised in Western PA and have been a Steeler fan since 1974 (I was 9). Watched and rooted for the Steelers in all 5 superbowls! Anyway, glad to have another Californian here at SA. Hope you like it here and I look forward to hearing from you in the forum.
