49ers D: Truth or Hype

I havent got to see a NINERS game this season but im hearing talk about their D being the next best thing since sliced bread (mainly for the 49ers.com Board) Has anyone had a chance to watch them play, want to give your opinion!?!?!?

So far they look a little less potent than advertised, but I think they are good enough to give us fits.

I found out first hand last night, as did bg32, and several others here that the 49ers official board is full of idiots who think their team can do no wrong and everybody else sucks. I don't put one ounce of faith in what 90 percent of them say over there. The 49ers defense hasn't faced any stiffer competition than we have so far.

Their team is young and their defense can be exploited so I expect us to test them often and establish ourselves from the get go.

patrick willis is ridiculous, but clements is just over paid, lawson has sucked so far and willis is the only force they really have

Looking at NFL.com right now the 49ers are ranked 8th in the NFC in pass defense and 10th in the NFC in run defense.

don't go to any team boards to see how teams are, fans will always be bias in some form, that's why i don't join other team boards

they are alright, nothing to **** your pants over lol, patrick willis is a monster........ clements has played good.....but they did play the ravens and seahawks, so it could be the fact that they are just playing ****** teams.......... plus their offense is so bad it won't even matter how good their D is

They haven't really played anybody yet The Cardinals and Rams... Edge lit them up for over 100 yards and the Rams are old at the receiver spot. The STeelers will be just fine and Ben should be able to pick them apart.

The 49ers defense are giving up 111 yards a game on the ground and about 215 through the air....So you can move the ball on them....But the Niners D is only giving up 16.5 points a game....Thats solid and seems they don't give up many TD and are holding teams to field goals...So the Steelers will have to punch it in when they get in the redzone...

the ppg are overrated when youve only played 2 games, both in the nfc west, they own the hawks, and they lost to the niners, they arent exactly playing powerhouses. think about this, they allow 16.whatever a game and only score about that much, we allow like 5 points a game and score 30, against teams i would consider to be in the 9ers league....we win this one easy 28-7 and tomlin is 3-0
