The Steelers laid a whooping on the Browns last week and looked really good on both sides of the ball. However, this week they play a little bit tougher opponent with the Buffalo Bills.
About the only thing the Bills bring to the table though is a highly touted Rookie RB and lighting quick WR. The Steelers haven't allowed a 100 yard rusher since Edge got over a 100 on a Monday night game in 2005, so it looks like the Bills might have to resort to an air attack. Had this been any prior year, an air attack on the Steelers Defense might have worried any Steelers fan... until now that is! The Steelers pass defense looked awesome the first week. For once they were getting off the field on third downs and was applying pressure on the quarterbackS! It also helps that the Steelers Defense has a lot of open field behind them because of a new guy that fgoes by the name, which K-Train came up with long before he was even drafted, D-SEP!
Normally a punters name isn't brought up in a Gameday thread but this guy is worthy of an entire page. In his first week, he punted the ball 6 times. Of those 6 punts 4 were inside the 20. Not a big deal any punter can kick it inside the 20, but try this stat on for size... Of the 4 punts D-Sep placed inside the 20, 3, that's right... 3 of those were inside the 10!!!!
So, what does this all mean... when you have an awesome defense that is given practically the entire field to work with your offense ends up with great field position so the game is virtually played on one end of the field which 99 times out of hundred will equal a "W"!
