Should Batch play this week ?

Even if Ben says he's ready to go and the Doctors think he'll be ok, should we maybe give him 1 more week to get healthy and heal up more? Batch showed he can play against a pretty stoudt Dolphins defense so Im wondering if we shouldn't maybe let Charlie have 1 more week to play and let Ben make sure he's ready to go.

I want Ben in there more than anyone else but I also know that every NFL player who's injured always wants to come back to the field ASAP, even if they aren't totally healed up.

If Ben is ready I want him in the game. nothing against Batch. This is a very good Jaguars team and I would like to see our best on the field. We could very likely see this same team in the playoffs.

I agree I want him in the game too..if he's in there our OL better be able to pick up the blitz because the jags have a great front 4 that can hold their own against most NFL teams and when they send more defenders on a blitz it can be a tough act to handle.

True, but I believe Ben can get away from that rush better than Batch. And he can make some nice plays out of scrambling too.

True that Charlie doesn't feel the rush or the pocket collapsing as good as Ben so I'd definately prefer that #7 is in there to make plays when the pocket breaks down especially.

We will need Ben on Monday. Let's hope he does better on national tv this time then he did in the superbowl. He said he had to prove he is good so what better way than MNF.

I hear you on being ready though (physically after the surgery). They only made an incesion (sp) large enough to get a scope in as opposed to "old fashioned" ones where they used to put an incesion quite a few inches down your abdomen, and that was why it took so long to heal. People do heal differently and after his cycle accident and the short 2 months or less it took that to heal ( or allow him on the training camp field), I gotta believe he will be there on MNF.

If Ben is not 100%, he should not play period. I would rather have Batch start this game and Ben the next 17.

Players are never 100%. Most injuries i doubt even show up on the injury report. Everyone is bruised and sore... slight muscle pulls... achy joints. All that stuff.

That is true even more as the year goes on. I'd think Ben should be pretty close to (if not) %100 by next Monday.
