Through four preseason games, the 3-1 Steelers are led in rushing by: Gary Russell 129 (4.6 avg.) and Davis 71 (8.9); in receiving by: Nate Washington 8-123, Hines Ward 8-66 and Santonio Holmes 7-170; and in passing by: Charlie Batch 23-18-289 133.3 and Ben Roethlisberger 42-25-421 83.5.

The team statistics (with last year’s final preseason stats in parenthesis):

Yards per carry 4.0 (3.5); opponents’ yards per carry 3.5 (2.5).

Yards per catch 15.0 (10.3); opponents’ yards per catch 9.6 (10.7).

Passer rating 85.2 (67.8); opponents’ passer rating 77.5 (88.6).

Net punting 42.3 (36.3); opponents’ net punting 40.2 (36.3).

Kickoff return average 20.8 (19.3); opponents’ kickoff return average 19.6 (24.4)

These two stats are huge and gives is a glimpse of what is to come this season both from the offensive side and defensive side!

Passer rating 85.2 (67.8); opponents’ passer rating 77.5 (88.6).

It's great to see the QB rating higher than last years, but the opponents is even better, that's a whole 11 points lower which is just awesome!

Net punting 42.3 (36.3); opponents’ net punting 40.2 (36.3).

HUGE increase on the Steeler side... looks like D-Sep is what the Steelers needed!

Kickoff return average 20.8 (19.3); opponents’ kickoff return average 19.6 (24.4)

Special Teams have always let the Steelers down but overall things are looking much better than last year at this time.

Granted these are only preseason numbers but what makes it even more impressive is the second and third stringers have been holding their own too!

Its almost here buddy.....Just one more meaning less game left....Which of all the pre-season games this is the most meaningless......All the important player won't play more then a series.....Hell St. Pierre might get in before the 1st quarter is even over....lol

Plus for an encore we could have ten pit bulls tear Mike Vick to pieces...lol
