I am a long time Steelers fan (age-60). I grew up in the Baldwin (South Hills) area of Pittsburgh, played football in high school and worked at the old Forbes Field as a food and drinks vendor as a kid. That was back in the days of Bobby Lane and others-tough guys but never winners.
I have been involved in Christian missions work most of my adult life and am presently teaching cross-cultural studies at a college in Minnesota.
There is a local Steelers bar and restaurant my kids and I visit occasionally to get the flavor of true Steelers fandom.
In the past years we visited Latrobe and training camp. The kids loved it, getting autographs from the Bus, Hines Ward and others. Great fun.
Having lived for 13 years in Philadelphia I have great hopes for a decisive performance from the first team in the first half this weekend. Go Steelers.
