Overview: A solid IAA Defensive end who had a breakout year as a senior in 2006, being named first-team all-Atlantic 10, and finishing 6th in the voting for the Buck Buchanan Award given annually to the nation's outstanding defensive player in Div. IAA. Turned down an opportunity to gain exposure in the East Coast Bowl. Did not receive a combine invitation. High-motor, edge rusher who showed the ability to really disrupt the opposition's backfield as a senior. Plays to the whistle. Displays a variety of pass-rushing moves. Will remind some of a poor man's Charle Haley.
Weaknesses: Only really did it for one year at a lower level of competition. Ability to transition to OLB is in question. Lacks size to stay at DE at the next level, and so must be viewed as a classic tweener. best shot is to add about 20 pounds of muscle mass and to try to be a 3rd-down pass-rushing specialist.
Projection: High-grade UDFA.
