Fans were GREAT!
Dolphins fans in attendance that I saw were very respectful, especially of the opening ceremony celebrating the great players from the Super Bowl wins. One or two exceptions...
The light show was cool from the seats...don't know how it played on TV.
The Steelers played fundamentally conservative football. Run to set up the pass, and bend don't break defense. If Ben was in, they would have had a different gameplan.
The Dolphins played surprisingly NON conservative. Mularkey must have some nice pull with Saban. They passed early and often, and even deep in their own territory.
Steelers wore the wrong cleats. The visiting team should NEVER slip less on your home turf than the home team.
Willie Parker is going to be an every down back, and, barring injury, break Foster's rushing record. Even when the Fins had the play sniffed out, he gained 3-4 yards.
The Steelers had MANY manageable 3rd downs. Lots of 3-3's, 3-4's will always equal a lot of wins.
Special Teams need a lot of work.
Culpepper will be back to 2004 form soon. The Fins will easily win the AFC East.
Troy is insane. He almost loses control sometimes, but he just lines up whereever and always recovers. I'll forgive him a missed tackle or whatever here and there for the 99% of other things he brings to the table.
The defense is going to be very good this year. They won't miss a beat.
Heath Miller has arrived.
I could go on and on, but the bottom line is I was literally jumping for joy couple times during the game (Troy and Joey's INT's), and that NEVER happens.
We are going to have a very good year this year.
