The good news is that it didnt rupture inside of him, that would have complicated things a bit more. And yeah I remember when Hines had the same type of thing happen.

:: Whoa, where the hell was I for 2 years?::
i think god is just getting everything that is going to happen to ben in his life out of the way, so pittsburgh can have a dynasty make nfl history!!!!! GET WEEL SOON BIG BEN! Were gonna miss you thursday night, but Charlie will take care of business for ya!!!
Charlie better have his mind in the right place and be ready to play and kick ass. This is going to be the craziest Steelers crowd he's played in front of after last year's great run.

Omar is already on the PS but I can't imagine they'll rely on just him. They bring in another this week and then maybe activate Omar as the emergency guy.

The appendix attack that Ben had is exactly what I had as a kid! It was one trippy experience and wasn't fun, my room was floating and noodles were hanging from the ceiling...
Bacth will be just fine and I feel a lot more confident with Batch running the offense than Maddox
Lyn, Im gonna merge this one in with the other Ben thread![]()

Quarterback Brian St. Pierre, who refused the Steelers' offer in the middle of last season to instead stay on Baltimore's practice squad, may agree to join them today.
St. Pierre was released by Baltimore last week. The Steelers talked to his agent yesterday after they learned that starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will miss one and probably two games after having an appendectomy yesterday.
"We have some people coming in," coach Bill Cowher said. "But I've been in this business long enough not to name the name because I've seen crazier things happen."
I think they said there is no way Tommy would be ready to suit up on Thursday but St. Pierre is and so he's the logical choice.Originally Posted by AZ_Steeler
