Steeler cut 20 players; 2 more moves needed by 6 p.m.

The Steelers this morning announced the release of 20 players and placed Barrett Brooks on injured reserve. Among those released were two quarterbacks, Omar Jacobs and Shane Boyd.

Others released were P Mike Barr, QB Shane Boyd, OL Tim Brown, TE Charles Davis, TE Jon Dekker, DE Orien Harris, RB Cedrick Humes, FB Branden Joe, FB John Kuhn, S Mike Lorello, CB Anthony Madison, WR Lee Mays, DE Shaun Nua, DT Scott Paxson, LB Richard Seigler, LB Ron Stanley, OT Brandon Torrey, DE Lee Vickers and WR Walter Young.

They must make two more roster moves by 6 p.m. to reach the 53-man limit.

No big Surpises there

So our debate has ended with the QB situation, or at least half of it. So now we either pick one up or go with two. One other guy I know we were watching was Kuhn and maybe he'll be back and better next year.

Looks like the Steelers will be laoding up DBs this year??? The big question now is Duce.

I'm a littl esuprised bu the relase of Humes and Kuhn.

Yeah I'd say we're stocking up on DB's this year, atleast at this point. If I had to venture a guess I'd say the last 2 cuts will be Duce and Coc..but I could be wrong.

No real surprises there, but I was really hoping there might be a spot for Kuhn but I'd like to think he's a probable candidate for the PS, especially if we cut Duce.

I kinda thought there as a chance we'd cut Gardocki too, only because he makes alot of money and Mike Barr has been awesome in camp and preseason. Im not surprised he's cut, but Im sure there was atleast a thought among the coaches about the possibility of keeping Barr instead.

I guess he might have made it if it werent for us picking up that other back from the Patriots.
