The "SA" almost seem a little to wimpy to me... Can you beef them up a little.. make it look powerful and authoritative!!

I like the idea Blitz. But like the others have said it does need something. Wish i could tell you what but I'm not sure right now.

We need to stay away from using the official Steelers logo, helmet, etc. because of the trademark/copyright issues.

Perhaps something like the SA that you have now, but make the font a more aggressive style, more edgy ? something similar to this type maybe ?

OR... maybe use some block style lettering filled in with a steel plate type look. kinda like this style of letting, but instead of filling it in with blue like they have it, fill it in with a steel beam or steel plate looking type back ground..

Regarding licensing, etc. You can submit that to the head office for approval. They want us using their logo but they want to be dang sure we are not out to make a mint. I submitted my club shirt after designing it and did get approval but I have a shirt that is expensive to make, I sell it for 20 bucks, shipping included. (Yeah I am in the hole) lol. It is like a 4 color front and 5 color back. Another thing to consider is anytime you use the logo colors you are starting with 3 colors, the more colors the more money. It is cheaper to stick with 2 color like gold on black or black on gold.
