Welcome to the Steelers Lamar !!

Looks like Tomlin is really stockpiling the LBs to play multiple fronts

That has to be what he is thinking. Trying to add players that can play in a hybrid type defense. At least the pass rush should be better. I like Woodley and suggested the Steelers drafting him in the 2nd round awhile back but I thought they would have went another direction in the first round.

I just really didn't think we'd go LB with the 1st 2 picks. I was really hoping OL help or RB at this point. What worries me is this draft was not real deep with OL to begin and now we're heading into round 3 and we still need depth there, and at RB.

Bring on the 4-3... I think Woodley might play with his hand down.

They might both be groomed for OLB in the 3-4... sweet!

Our pass rush should definitely upgraded which is a huge plus for us because that helps all around. This also shows that atleast early on Tomlin is content with McFadden and Taylor as our starters at DB.

Good points but I'm really thinking for sure now that Tomlin might very well use a hybrid type defense. I thought that anyway when he was hired but these first two picks are indicating he wants players that both can fit a 3-4 or 4-3. I think Tomlin is going to playing chess with our defense and come with all kinds of crazy things for other teams offenses to think about.

So hell I say turn the young dogs lose and let them kill QB's.

Is it just me or does it feel like we got two first round picks with both Timmons and Woodley.

For sure on Taylor and McFadden as the starters at corner. It has to be offense in the 3rd round right?
