I can tell you what the Lions fans are saying. He still has a job, even with the worst losing record and 5 mil a year because he meets Ford (the owner) in a closet every so often. After years of disappointment, most fans have decided there is no other explanation.

And you know what is really sad or wonderful, I am not objective enough on this to say; is that the fans hang with the Lions no matter what and they have not done 1 thing for decades. Many coworkers and relatives are Lions fans. They tell me Steeler fans are spoiled, I tell them football is about winning that is why we play.
