dont care, imena i would like to see us branch out in the passing game. it would help our running game alot, so parker would nbot have to do all the work, but i dont care how we win, just win.![]()

I think we'll always run at least a bit more than we throw--that's just Steeler football.
However, I DO think that Mike plans on our air attack being used a bit more (and more productively) than it was before. I think that's why he's giving Ben more responsibility by having him make his own calls--it'll make Ben happier to feel more in control.
So basically (in my mind) a Peyton Manning QB'd team that puts the ball where (and when) they want it in the air, but is also tough enough to kill you on all the run plays![]()
The best of both worlds....Sounds like a perfect team to me lol
Wouldnt you think a more defense minded coach would want to run more to let the D rest????![]()
Don't want to rely to much on the passing game. (Remember the 2002 season) It kept our defense on the field, gave up alot of yards and points and wore the our "D" down in the 4th qtr.
We need to stick to a gameplan of ball and clock control and use the passing game to keep opposing defenses honest by not having them crowd the line of scrimmage.
In Ben's rookie season, we won 15 games with very limited passes and yards through the air and grinded out yardage and the clock. If our opposing teams offense can't get on the field then they can't score points.![]()
It would be good to see more throws though. Like in the 2006 play-offs when every throw seemed to be a first down.![]()
