Does it matter now? I mean we have our franchise QB and I really don't like Rivers. His throwing motion is wierd it's like he's pushing the ball rather than throwing it. I think all Ben needs is a coach who understands QBs. No offense to Coach Cowher but I don't think he was a QB's coach.

He was tutored by Jon Gruden/Tony Dungy. You don't think he would have picked up pointers on how to coach QB's. Plus, he play WR until he became an assistant. So he must know something on how a QB's mind work. Remember Cowher was all defense. He played LB his whole career from Pee Wee to the Pros. Tomlin might know more about offense and QB's you think.

the thing with rivers and ben...they both fell into the same kind of situation, a good team with a strong running game and defense to rely on. But, ben really did an amazing job his first 2 seasons even though his responsibilties were limited. I dont think Rivers is anything special, and i dont think if his rookie year if he was thrown into a situation like ben was i dont think he wouldve been able to do much with it. Hes got a weak arm and awkward throwing motion, i think the only thing he has over ben is he didnt get into an accident.

No, thats why they have QB coaches, Tomlin never played QB, so he probably has no clue how a QB's mind works. Thats just like saying I know how a QB's mind works b/c I played Center. WR and QB are two completely different things.

Cause Rivers has shown so much as a franchise QB?lol Its official you just hate Big Ben and I don't want to hear that you really like Ben. To wish for Rivers over Ben is just crazy. Yes Rivers had a very good season last year but its one season shit. Plus he hasn't won a play-off game yet. While Ben has proven he can play well in the play-offs.

Hell no I don't want Rivers, Im glad we got Ben. Who's to say Rivers would have been able to step in like Ben did and lead us to the SB ?

Ben did it, he proved he's a beast, Im glad we got him. Is he perfect? of course not, but I wouldn't want anyone else from that class to be our QB.

Rivers won't throw as many INT's as Ben. But other then that I would take Ben over Rivers anyday. I like having a gun slinger QB like Ben. A QB thats not afraid to take a chance. Now does Ben take to many chances at times. He sure does but I can live with that.
