Steelers vs. Eagles (Preseason Gm. 3)

    vs.
    Steelers vs. Eagles
    Friday, August 25, 2006
8:00 PM - Lincoln Financial Field

According to ESPN it makes sense that there is going to be Monday Night Football on a Friday. Anyways, we get to see the T.O.-less Eagles in the battle of the Keystone State. If it means anything, they've already played two of our AFC North rivals (beat the Browns, loss to the Ravens) so maybe we can determine what things will be like based on how things go tomorrow. Then again, its only preseason...

    Go 'Lers

I wouldn't put too much into this game. I would expect the starters to play another series or 2. Other than that the game means nothing except for those trying to make the team.

That would be a good start.....lol But I just want to see how people play. Staley is a concern to me. That whole trade thing could end up hurting us. I'm not saying he would do that. But I'm also not his boss trying to dump him.

I'd like to win atleast 1 preseason game too but staying healthy is the main key besides looking at the young guys and backups.

The 3rd preseason game is usually where the starters play atleast most of the first half so I look forward to seeing our 1st string guys getting some good work tonight. Still though even with that, the vets still don't like playing preseason game 3 anymore than preseason game 1 or 2 or 4 so it'll still be pretty vanilla and the intensity won't be at regular season status.

Stay healthy, look for the Offensive starters to play most of the first half.

I would look to see possibly that the Steelers will be playing their starters for about a half and possibly series one of the 3rd quarter tonight. Anyway

HERE WE GO STEELERS HERE WE GO!

Cowher says the first team offense (minus Wilie and Ben) will play a good portion of the 1st half.

Thats good, they better get some good drives in, make some things happen, eat the clock and score some points cuz this is the last big chance they'll get to do much since the 4th preseason game they'll not play much at all unless they really stink up the joint tonight.
