Yeah, that's my point, I enjoy the tailgating experience, like I said, that is part of the game. All of this construction doesn't have to be next to both stadiums. And tailgate a couple of miles away from the stadium? Tailgating around the stadium is the Atmosphere. If ya take that away, we might as well tailgate in my front yard and just watch the game on a big Screen.

I beg to differ about the development. To begin with, these developments should come as no surprise to anyone. It was clearly stated before the stadiums were built they (local government) didn't want to make the same mistake as 3RS, they wanted to use the stadiums to spur development growth. The same thing is going to happen for the new Penguins arena. There are other places around the area to tailgate, I know of several, however they aren't right next door to the stadiums. Frankly, not being able to tailgate is a small price to pay for new downtown development.

Getting out of anywhere even close to Heinz after a game is a nightmare to say the least. We never park in the stadium parking lots we always use one of the other ones around it and even then it still takes you hours to get out of it even if you were to leave early before the game was over.

If they can solve the parking and traffic issues with it I think it can be an awesome thing to have for the city.

Well, with all these new developments, it is going to be 5 times worse.

I don't think the parking will get worse, in fact traffic might be a little bit better. There are various lots all over the city to park and get to the stadiums. With the new north shore subway connection those living south can easily ride the subway to the stadiums, hell they can do that now. There is a lot of parking in the golden triangle and on the North Side as well. I do agree that tailgating will ultimately become a thing of the past.

Yeah, all they want to do is to continue on the agenda of kicking the middle guy out. Sooner or later, only the Rich and wealthy will be able to go to games. The little guy, and hard working blue Collar guy will left out. But whjat's new, all they care about is the money.

I have no idea how developing real estate kicks the little guy out. Sounds like you're just pissed because tailgating isn't going to be the same.

Obviously you don't like tailgating. To a helluva alot of people it's a special part of the game day tradition.IMHO that ampitheater and complex isn't really necessary, are you forgetting the casino that's gonna be 1/4 mile away?? I'm betting that there will be a room in there that will have that size room. The parking lots over there are needed for all this development. More shops and less parking will make that area like Oakland, around Pitt if you know the area. Some where to go and NO parking !!

it would be nice to drink a jack and see a thread that says the steelers can move foward with plans to replace the current crapy grass we have on heinz field now with some field turf. and the steeler logo in to field again . <good days comeing i can feel the vib>
