A Spring Hill, Tenn., man has been arrested after police said he threatened Tennessee Titans cornerback Pacman Jones with a knife at a Franklin, Tenn., bowling alley.
"Mr. Jones was here just trying to be a normal customer, trying to bowl" with several other people, Franklin police detective Stephanie Cisco said.
No one was hurt during the altercation, which took place about 10:15 p.m. Friday at the Franklin Family Entertainment Center, she said.
Clayton Smith instigated the confrontation, said Cisco, who was at the bowling alley Friday night when the dispute broke out. Smith, 33, brandished a small pocket knife and "threatened to beat up Mr. Jones and to use the knife on him," Cisco said.
Smith was removed from the bowling alley. He was arrested Saturday on charges of aggravated assault.
Titans Coach Jeff Fisher did not return a message from The Tennessean.
Instead of being arrested it sounds like Clayton Smith should be given a medal for Good Citizenship.
