Browns win coin toss to pick third in NFL Draft

CLEVELAND (Feb. 23, 2007) -- Cleveland won a coin flip with Tampa Bay on Friday at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis and will pick third overall in April's draft. The Buccaneers will select fourth.

The teams finished with identical 4-12 records last season and their opponents had the same winning percentage, making the coin toss necessary.

Browns general manager Phil Savage and Tampa Bay GM Bruce Allen represented their clubs at the coin toss. Allen called heads and the coin landed tails, giving the Browns the No. 3 overall pick for the fifth time in club history.

In 2005, the Browns selected wide receiver Braylon Edwards with the third choice.

Who cares it's only the Browns, its not like they'll actually do anything with yet another high 1st round draft pick except see him get injured or just flat out be a bust.

I hear winslow will be giving all browns draft picks motorcycle lessons. Right after the conclusion of the draft.

I don't blame the players for being Bust. It's not all their fault

Cleveland is a bust

IMO, put Edwards on a team like Indy and he would be another Wayne or better

It was said on NFL network that the coin toss cost Calvin about 7 million dollars! With the Browns projected to take a RB possibly Adrian Peterson dropping down to the 4th overall pick will cost Johnson about 7 mil over the course of his first contract. Tampa Bay is projected to be taking a WR with their pick and Calvin is far and away the top receiver. The coin toss cost Calvin some coin!
