lol....nope...as good as Sweetness was....Barry was and always will be Da Man!
Barry was a great pure runner, but being a Steelers fan I'd take Payton any day over him. There's something about having a RB that runs people over that is just awesome to watch as a fan.
Had Barry not prematurely retired he would have easily passed Walter Payton as the All-Time NFL Leading Rusher and would have put that record well out of reach for an Over-Rated Emmitt Smith.
I just never get tired of watching either of those 2, but I'll take Sweetness anyday over Barry. I agree with Ambridge though that Sanders would have easily taken over the title had he not retired and would still have it today !
Both of these guys are 2 of the best of all time, hands down but I prefer the style and tenacity of Payton when it comes right down to it.
