75th Year 2007 Season?

The common way you look at subraction is not inclusive of the items you're working with. To see the problem in this case of subraction, as simply as I an put it, you would agree that the 2006 and 2007 seasons are two different seasons, right? but if you take 2007-2006, the answer is one. Same thing with 2007-1933. I know it isn't obvious looking at it writen down as a math equation, but look at it this way...1942 was our tenth year, even though 1942-1933 only equals nine. Spell it out and it becomes more obvious:

1933: first year
1934: second
1935: third
1936: 4th
1937: 5th
1938: 6th
1939: 7th
1940: 8th
1941: 9th
1942: 10th

2007 will be the 75th year.

I've struggled with just because the year 2000 throws me off... so tonight I plugged it into excel crunched some numbers and sure enough... the Steelers are celebrating 75 years!!!

This really will be a historic year for the Steelers. I mean we have our first African American coach the same year as the 75th aniversery of our proud team!!!! This is awesome. Now all we need is some seperation from the Cryboys and 'Niners (*cough* Super Bowl XLII *cough* *cough*).

75 years ago. The Father of our Franchise Arthur Joseph Rooney paid the $2,500 to offically bring the NFL to Pittsburgh. Little did we know, it would becomeone of the most successful NFL Franchises

Anyways....I hope they do something special with the jerseys this year. I have seen the thread discussing block numbers, and I have not kept up with it at all. Are they going to do the block numbers for sure?

I think they almost should make a unique Jersey, worn only for this season then never use it again. Nothing real drastic because the Rooney's would never do that but something other than just changing the numbers
