    Chuck's 2015 Mock Draft 1.0

Look like defense will be the call of the day, but I sprinkle a few offensive players for depth in as well.

Round 1 - Although we have squandered out last 2 #1 picks on under-performing LBs for the defense, I see no way we don't go defense #1 again. To me it boils down to the BPA at these 3 positions: OLB, CB, NT:

    1a - Danny Shelton - NT Washington
    1b - PJ Willimas - CB - Florida State
    1c - Vic Beasley - OLB - Clemson

Round 2 -Still more defense needed - depending how Round 1 shakes out:

    2a - Ellis McCarthy - DT - UCLA
    2b - Bennardick McKinney - OLB - Mississippi State
    2c - Marcus Peters - CB - Washington

Round 3 - This one goes to the offense. We need depth at TE and there is a good pass catching run blocker we select here:

3 - Jeff Heuerman - TE Ohio State - Maybe a little high here, but I don't think he lasts until round 4. A definite need.

Round 4 - We go back to defense. The secondary still needs help, big time:

4a - Doran Grant - CB - Ohio State - Big time player in big games. Durable, solid tackler.
    4b - Kurtis Drummond - S - Michigan State
4c - Durrel Eskridge - SS - Syracuse - I know we have been burnt twice already dipping int the safety pool at Syracuse, but this kid is a play maker.

Round 5 - We go back to the offensive side of the ball and get a true back-up RB for Bell:

5a - Mike Davis - RB - South Carolina -tough, gritty player
    5b - David Johnson - RB - Northern Iowa
    5c - Jeremy Langford - RB - Michigan State - provides a good - 1-2 punch from the Spartans

Round 6 - Little bit of a crap shoot here, but we have struck gold in the 6th round a few times. I think we add a little depth to OLB:

    6a - Tony Washington - OLB - Oregon
    6b - Paul Dawson - OLB - TCU
6c - Austin Hill - WR - Arizona State - kid can fly, not much after our top 3 WRs

Round 7- Always can use a little depth on the OL:

    7a - Chris Lombard - OG - Notre Dame
    7b - Shaquille Mason - OG - Georgia State
    7c - Blaine Claussell - OT - Mississippi State

Let me say this, I know this kid is a problem kid but if Marcus Peters is on the board when we pick. and if Shelton is gone, I'd go Peters. Peters has way more physical gifts then P.J. Williams and I don't think he makes it back to us in the 2nd round. If Tomlin has any type of nuts (that's a big if) he could should be able to discipline this guy and he has the type of fire and attitude our defense needs.

The link below has us selecting PJ Williams in the 3rd round. Not sure he lasts that long.

Id say take an OLB like Dupree in the first round. They need to get their pass rush back to their old blitzberg ways

Looks like the only one I got right was Doran Grant. The correct round as well. I did better than the chest pumping experts that left.
