Top 3 position of need heading into 2015 draft

The way I see it these are our pressing needs. Although Beachum has perofrmed admirably this year, I am not sold ion him being the long-term answer.

    OLB
Shane Ray - OLB - Missouri. 6'3 245 Classic tweener, but a freak athlete. Rumored to be a 4.4 guy with a 40" vert and 400+ pound bench press. Playing part time last year he put up 9 sacks. He's got 10 sacks through 6 games this year including 2 against Florida in his last outing. OLB is likely going to be a major need if Worilds walks. Ray is projected as a late 1st rounder, but likely moves up if those measurables check out.

Others to watch: Vic Beasly, Clemson - Markus Golden, Mizzou - Shilique Calhoun, Mich St - Hauoli Kikaha, Washington

    CB
Marcus Peters - CB - Washington. Big corner at 6'0 200 lbs. Uses his size well and supports the run, very solid in coverage. Projected anywhere from Top 10 to early 2nd round.

Trae Waynes - Michigan State. Watching games last year looking at Darqueze Dennard, some began wondering if perhapst Waynes might be the better prospect in the long run. He's long and rangy at 6'1, but isn't quite as physical as you'd like. Projected 2nd round.

Others to watch: PJ Williams, FSU - Charles Gaines, Louisville

    LT
Spencer Drango - LT - Baylor. Is Beachum the answer at LT? Might Gilbert slide there allowing Adams to play RT? Drango has the 3 elements you want from a LT. Smart, quick feet, good hands. Projected mid to late round 1.

Also in the mid-rounds we need address suitable and competent back=ups for heath and Le Veon Bell. After these 2 starters there is not much on the roster. Paulson dropped yet another TD in the end-zone against the Chiefs.

I would add two more to this list Safety and Running Back.

I am not so sure, as of yet on the RB. I think we can draft one in the later rounds or get an UDFA. Safety is a must. Troy should hang them up and the jury on Mitchell is out. We'll see if he makes a jump in his second year. I am still curious about Shamarko Thomas, would like to see him get a crack.

I don't agree with the supposed "TOP" needs.

To me, the top need is a dominant nose tackle to put next to Heyward and get that pass rush going and clog up the running game of the opposing team. Then Cornerback.

My preference is Danny Shelton out of Washington. He may be there for us and I'd take him in a heartbeat.

I don't know how far he's going to fall but Marcus Peters is a kid I'd consider to take a chance on. They are saying Peters will fall out of the first round because of off the field issues but if he falls to the second round, he's talented enough to consider to move up to take. We need talent in that secondary.

They already have a decent NT in McClendon and I think they also hit on McCullers. This would be a position I would only draft late for depth because they are probably gonna cut Cam Thomas

Was listening to the Brock and Salk show based in Seattle (I live in Spokane) and Brock Huard, former UW QB who still has close ties to the UW program said that knowing what he knows about Peters he wouldn't waste a pick on him. That he was given opportunity after opportunity to clean up his act, with two different coaching staffs, but didn't care. Huard wouldnt elaborate, but said there's no way he would even waste a lower pick on him. Pretty telling statement.
