I really like Sanders but...Sanders and Brown were drafted in the same year, same coaches? Sanders was a higher round pick so your logic doesnt hold up on this. I hope we keep him..

Wheaton was drafted to replace Sanders. I agree Sanders is gone. He had a chance last season and really lacked consistency.

Regardless of where we drafted him, he has done little to earn a starting job let alone take over for Sanders. Sanders wasn't great but Wheaton couldn't even get on the field.

Wheaton was handicapped. He could not work with the team in minicamp/OTAs because of his school schedule. He was then injured and had vets ahead of him. IMO, it is not fair to judge Wheaton one way or the other based upon last season. We should find out what we have this year.

My main point was that all teams in the salary cap era have to count on kids stepping up when needed. The success of any team depends on the success of moves like this (taking Sanders' spot). We drafted him in the third to do just that.

The Jets are even more likely to go after free agent Emmanuel Sanders now that Jeremy Maclin has re-signed with the Eagles.
