    Jets looking at Sanders

Jets want Maclin provided Maclin's surgically repaired knee checks out, the Jets view him as a "quality No. 1 receiver." Sanders would be a decent second fiddle, and the Steelers have 2013 third-round draft pick Markus Wheaton ready to step in and take his place.

I have no problem letting sanders go. Never thought he was that good.

Why not? We drafted him in the third for a reason.

so it would make sense that it is wheaton and cotch now battling for 2014.

im surprised to read that maclin and sanders are par for the jets in the FA market...

Santonio is available now too... Dont tell Tomlin.

Let 'em go. We don't have the money to spend on him, sign Cocthery and develop Wheaton.

Well, we will see about Wheaton, didnt show much of anything last season with a total of 6 catches and you can't throw it to hard for him, or else his finger might break

Wheaton was pretty terrible the few times he got on the field last year...

I hope he takes a huge step forward, and can take the job... but I won't be banking on it.

I think they will dabble in free agency (not the top tier... probably not even the 2nd tier)

Cotchery could get an offer from someone for more than we are willing to commit.
