I believe that is called carving, but I could be mistaken. You could go get a brand instead; now THAT would be painful !

and "scarification" is the carving. i have the cheshire cat smiling on my arm (actually its just a moon shaped scar i got as a kid but it makes for a good story). branding has become more popular lately too. frats have used it for years.

i prefer scars and brands to tattoos. i love the stab wound scar my best friend gave me and the small pox injection looking brand where a buddy put his cigarette out on my arm.
