Jace Amaro is a ****ing horrible pick, ASJ would be much better if they wanted to go TE at 11 (i wouldnt though)

Seems a bit high for evans, but evans or ekpre-olomu would probably be my picks. Maybe lee pending his workouts
Don't understand how Amaro is a horrible pick at 11-15 which I think we will be picking around 14 now. It is what the team would need with Heath getting another year older. Plus, it looks like he lost a step this season.

If we pick at 14. I doubt Watkins will be there, Mathews from Vandy could be a reach. I think Lewan/Mathews LT will be off the board. Why go CB in the first when CB is so deep this year.

Imho, they are a push, but I just think Amaro is a more polished TE even though ASJ plays in more of a traditional offense compared to TT. Amaro is a better blocker/route runner and better in the open field. Not saying ASJ is a bum, there is a reason why he is a late first round pick. But Amaro around 14 is not a reach by any means.

I disagree, i think ASJ is much better as an all around TE and while before this year he was more of a gronk type prospect, he has really become a more complete TE this season. I think hes overall more completely and a better receiver, especially because hes a very tough matchup.

The biggest knock on him is the DUI and the fact that hes kind of a dick

I would like to see Evans catch the ball a little more with his hands than his body though..He struggles some in press coverage but he can make that up with his leaping and boxing out abilities to shed defenders when the ball is in the air. Either or, if you picked Evans/Mathews, I dont think you can go wrong. I'm all about them going either TE/WR in the 1st and CB in the 2nd for certain though.
My simple view on Evans, is that he's no where near as talented as the numbers he puts up suggests to people. He's very raw... he's almost a project IMO. But he's raw measurements and success on the field make him a desirable project.

Im torn on whether investing in him is a waste of a high pick...

I almost completely opposed to drafting a TE in the first round in almost all scenarios...

I think this year is a good/deep TE class... and there are guys I like in the 2nd/3rd/4th round range... I would be very happy to draft ASJ/Amaro/Ebron, but i dont want any of them with our 1st... Arthur Lynch (Georgia) is a guy I really like as a mid rounder in the Heath Miller mold (but an even better blocker).

There's just no way I'm spending a 1st on the position, when it historically over the last 5+ years the best talent is being culled from the mid rounds... it's different if you are a well built contender, drafting at the bottom of the 1st.... with few to no holes.... but with our team, and our needs... we cant be going TE in the first...

    No complaints from me lol

SD just bookending with bama tackles huh.

You think cleveland would take ASJ with the emergence of Cameron? I know hes fallen off a bit but he was perfect for norvs offense when they were running it they way they wanted to with Hoyer, he was nothing short of dominant

If theres anything STL is set at, its dline/pass rush

Also, just a quick LOL at manziel going #1, i know hes grown on you but theres not a chance in hell that happens imo
