    Ben - Ryan - Eli

Which team is losing because of coaching?

Which team is losing because of the QB?

Which team is losing because of the OL?

If it is coaching how could the tides turn so quickly with coaching.....

Or is it the defenses have figured out these three QB's....

Or do these teams all just have OL's that are tattered and beat up...

No comment on Ryan. Haven't seen a full Falcon's game. I have seen most of the Giants games. Their offensive line is bad, but not as bad as the Steelers. Basically, if Steelers fans saw the Steelers line play like the Giants line, they would call them probowlers.

But relative to what the Giants had, they're bad and Eli has never been one tonhandle pressure well. He has gotten much better. A potential sack used to equal a guaranteed INT or fumble for him. He's gotten much better. But they used to give him so much time in the pocket that he probably now feels pressure as if he were Roethlisberger. They also have no running game and teams are going right for Eli. Very similar to the Steelers situation from what I've seen.

I forgot about the awful Steelers. I've said it before, at best, this line is consistently inconsistent. At worst, they are amongst the worst in the league, although some might claim that eabked 21st of 32 is not amongst the worst.

Tomlin is also an idiot and the receivers do not pose any threats. The team would be much better if one of the three changed/improved.

    5. No except for Eli. He never was any good he just chucks the ball into the air and pretends his receivers are Calvin Johnson. Somehow it works just not this yeaer.
    6. Yes

Our coaching is terrible. Haley does not play to Ben's strength which is his arm. He needs to be able to throw the ball down the field. Getting 3 yards on a bubble screens will not when teams are crowding the line.

Defensively the Steelers have lost all of their killer instinct. They're playing scared. LeBeau is still worried about giving up the big play when he's given up 70 yard TDs to Peterson and a record setting TD against a rookie QB.

Completely agreed. Eli's stats are more reflective of his play than his two Superbowl rings are. He's gotten much better, but that's because he was terrible to begin with.

Also really good point about what a difderence coaching makes with the KC and NO examples.

I keep thinking the 49ers ... Singletary.. The players coach couldn't get it done. Tomlin is similar.

There are "players coaches" who succeed and others who fail. Just like there are disciplinarians that succeed and other fail.

I think it is more being a match for what a specific team needs than one style being better than another. In fact, I'd say the best coaches can do both when necessary.

Are you laughing because he was worse than "not really good"? Do you know what he did and how he played in his first 4 seasons? Or how he played in the playoffs early on? He was basically a certified bust. NY fans wanted him dead or traded and were cursing the Giants for not just keeping Rivers and the draft pick.
