There you go. In college, he freelanced a lot and the Steelers OLB's have a lot more responsibility in their defense. Yes he lost contain quite a bit on SUnday , but al in all, considering their record, why not let them play (thomas too) because neither Worilds nor Clark will be back next year. The kid is doing fine. Anyone remember Troy's rookie season, a.k.a Bustamalu? The JJ will be a stud in this league. Once he stops thinking and starts reading/reacting, you will see a different Jarvis Jones.

You should check out his awesome stat line on Sunday against the Raiders. Playing every single snap too.

But the latest demotion was a guy who was supposed to make an immediate impact.

According to Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, first-round pick Jarvis Jones has been replaced by Jason Worilds.

The 17th overall pick was elevated to the starting lineup after one game, but has now given the outside linebacker job away.

“He’s just not doing enough detail work right now and Jason Worilds is,” Tomlin said of Jones. “That’s the reality of it. There is more detail in Worilds’ work right now than Jarvis.”

Worilds started and played 52 snaps Sunday at Oakland, to Jones’ 11.

For the season, they have a sack between them, and that one belongs to Worilds. That’s hardly what they were expecting when they tried to get James Harrison to take a pay cut and then sent him packing.

The fact Worilds didn’t hold Jones off long and hasn’t been particularly productive also leaves the door open for Jones to get back in the lineup.

“He’s got to play better from an assignment standpoint,” Tomlin said. “If he can do that he’ll be given an opportunity to do that now.”

The move marks the fifth time Tomlin has made a switch to the starting lineup, which isn’t the worst idea when a team is 2-5.

With so much inferior coaching on this team across the board, doesn't a lot of guys performances have to be taken with a grain of salt?
The Steeler way...is the only way.

It doesnt help when DL doesnt use exotic blitzes anymore it seems. Never a stacked side, not a lot of stunts. Just a basic 3-4

Again with this play time ****, our coaches are in playtime... like in a sand box with plastic shovels...

We are 2-5 play them and start blitzing and playing like the old steelers... no holding back. we have nothing to lose, so we give up a TD on a blitz... oh no... we might lose the game... At least Jones, Woirlds, Williams, Allen learn the big blitz packages in real time.. Not this Vanilla coverage over and over.
