With the 20th pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, the New York Football Giants select:
AARON ROSS - CB - Texas
Ross should be able to step in and make an immediate impact for the Giants, atleast in their Nickle or Dime situations; if not right away in their base defense. He's got the ideal size and speed today's CB needs to hang with their opponent. His skills in the return game should also help make an immediate impact for the Giants.
In an ideal world Revis or Marshall Lynch would be the perfect fit for the Giants. Lynch mainly because of the loss of Tiki Barber to retirement leaves a void that must be filled. Revis would be the ideal pick here if he's available however Ross is also considered one of the better CB's in the nation but scouts question him because of his lack of starting experience since he was burried in the depth chart behind the likes of Michael Huff, Cedric Griffin, Nathan Vasher, Michael Griffin and Tarell Brown at Texas until last year when he came through in a big way and won the Thorpe award. He'll take some coaching to harness all the raw talent but he's got enough already to start making plays for the Giants and within time can be something really special.
