Raven's Pitta Exits 2013 Season Early

Though injuries to opposing team's players ought never be celebrated, Dennis Pitta has been a Joe Flacco favorite, especially on third down. This guy's been a major thorn in the Steeler "D" side for the past few seasons, keeping the Ravens offense on the field time after time.
Pitta dislocated his hip in a training camp collision and underwent season-ending surgery yesterday.

So while celebration may not be in order, a sigh of relief may be. After all, he's a Raven.

what he's hardly ever been a factor against the steelers

    2012, a total of 2 receptions
2011, a total of 7 receptions, 5 in one game.

Would hardly call a total of 9 receptions in 4 games a big factor against us, he wasn't a major thorn in the Steelers Defense, although he will be missed by the ratbird scum.

Good point. I didn't research stats...but seems like Pitta frequently was Flacco's go-to guy on so many 3rd down conversions. Fact is, the guy has great hands and rarely drop balls.

never scored a touchdown against pitt.

1 or 2 third down conversions are hardly a big thing when a team usually converts 15-20 a game.

I never cheer when a player gets hurt, but regardless of stats, it's overall good for us that Pitta is out for 2013. We need the Rats to have any disadvantage possible this year. 2013 AFC North race is shaping up to be a close one.

Pittas lack of catches last year is because C. Allen is a great CB.

One player isn't gonna make them suck. Losing Boldin is a bigger hit then Pitta!
