I think that at least Redman tries to make the most of his ability, wheras Dwyer who has more talent, shows up overweight.

if redman is trying to cut weight will he still be an effective short yard guy? or is he trying to change his running style ..i mean its not like hes cutting 50 pounds but if hes not dieting right he could be losing muscle to

I think Dwyer is the odd man out, even though he has more natural talent.

And Redman losing some fat doesn't mean he'll lose much power. It depends how far he takes the weight loss. I took the article as he wants to just lean up a little bit, which is good imo.

redman knows he is slow, if he can fix that hes gold.

if dwyer plays fast he will keep his spot, we need a backup RB. Hes 23 and weight and speed make a good RB...

Bell, Dwyer and Redman stay... the others will be gone.

I don't think they carry both Redman and Dwyer. One will be cut.

Wouldn't either one of these guys be worth a late round pick to a tesm like the Chargers?
The Steeler way...is the only way.

I read that we shopped Dwyer on draft day for a seventh round pick and had no takers. That tells me:

    1.) No one is interested.

2.) Barring injuries at the RB position in camp, he is the odd man out.

Didn't know that. The biggest advantage Dwyer has over Redman is age. However, I think Redman is the better short yardage and goal-line back and can contribute on special teams. With that being said, at the end of the day, which either one (if either is kept) they will be a back-up to Bell, who will be a workhorse for the Steelers.

Howlings is still in the mix as well as McNeal. I don't think Batch will be much of a factor, if at all.

I don't believe that was the case and you must have inside information cause Redman's name was not mentioned anywhere having to do with a trade. That being said had teams inquired about him. I'm sure the Steelers would have listen to offers and may have been willing to part ways.
