And his work ethic will be contagious.
Jones is a better pick, shamarko was tremendous value but imo jones had top 5 talent, getting a top 5 at 17>>>>getting a 2nd or 3rd round talent in 4.

Im a huge shamarko fan, i was calling for him in the 3rd for sure....made me so happy when they traded up to snag him (traded a future pick nonetheless, which is NEVER dont by the steelers), but jones is a much better player and much more vital to the team that he lives up to expectations, we have high expectations for thomas, but if thomas flops we can chalk that up as "well, he was just a 4th rounder" having first round players flop is devastating to a team, see: Hood, Evander

I agree with both of you lol. Jones was without a doubt a steal at 17.

The majority of our draft was good to great in my opinion. Sorry to sound like a homer but that is actually the way I feel looking at the draft objectively. But Shamarko was a great get when we got him. And I'm not complaining one bit at having to give up a pick to get him.

This story just reaffirms all our feelings about him. To me, he looks like he's going to be one of the future leaders of this team with that type of attitude and work eithic that this article has presented.
The Steeler way...is the only way.

Shamarko is already one of my favorite Steelers and he hasn't played a down of NFL football yet.....This kid has the work ethic to not fail...Only question is....How good will he be?.......At worst we have a long time potential starter at safety with the upside to be a Pro Bowl player one day......

"My mom used to tell me, 'Work hard until your hands and feet fall off.' She's gone, but my hands and feet are still here, so I still have to work." I'm wishing him mad success, I hope he retires a Steeler, he has the work ethic already.....

We are all stoked about the potential and work ethic, no doubt. Kinda wished he was #31.

    Once a torpedo, now a missile (#31).

Here hoping he gets added to my signature banner one day.

    Good luck, Shamarko!
