When will Steelers safety's learn to keep their mouth shut?

I'm sure most of you remember the comments Anthony Smith said about Brady and the Pat's back in 2007. Well the comments by Ryan Clark weren't guaranteeing victory he should have just used his inside voice instead of being himself. Now none of what he said I don't disagree with but what he said is getting a lot of attention. And I'm sure somewhere the Patriots are listening.

Just don't know why players love to throw gas of potential fires.

Eh, if Cindy Brady and the Pats need that to get up for a game against us, they already lost. If they beat us, it will not be because they are angry at Clark.

That should give the other 15 teams playing them some insight... Press and Blitz... The Jets actually showed the league how to do it, we followed that year... Clark is just reminding everyone. Welker gone, gronk out for a while, if he has the surgery again he will be out for a while longer. Brady will be a target. Danny Amendola will not play 16 games catching Welker style passes all year. Welker could take the abuse catching inside the LB's.

I can't wait until Thomas takes Ryan Clark's job full time. He needs to just shut up and play.
The Steeler way...is the only way.

Not that I think that Brady needs any motivation to get up for a game, but does Clark really need to say crap like that on the air. The Steelers don't exactly have a good track record when talking smack on TV lately. I.E. Woodley.

    1. Clark is interning for ESPN over the summer. Critical analysis is part of the job.

    2. The Steelers don't play the Patriots for another six goddamned months. And he didn't guarantee anything. Of course, Smith never really did either, but that's another story entirely.

    3. Lighten up Francis.

When you have a trash talking coach, it's only natural to have trash talking players.

I get what you are saying, I am just not sure if it means much one way or the other. I suspect that if you compiled the record for all teams with a player that talked smack/guaranteed victory, it would be very close to 50 percent.

This is yet another sign of a team with a head coach who is floundering. Do you think you would ever hear the Patriots say stuff like this? Why not? Because Bill has his sh-t together up there. He is on control and the players know damn well not to spout off like this. Steelers? Not so much. Coach without discipline = team without discipline.
