    Evaluations of Redman and Dwyer

    From Rotoworld.com:

The Steelers have decided that Jonathan Dwyer and Isaac Redman are complementary backs.
It's an easy self-evaluation for the Steelers' coaches. Given ample opportunities last year, Dwyer could only muster 3.99 YPC and two touchdowns while Redman was at 3.72 YPC. The Steelers are expected to select a running back in the second or third round of the draft, and could pair that rookie with a veteran free agent such as Ahmad Bradshaw or Beanie Wells. Dwyer will be a role player at best this season.

So, there you have it. I guess it's just a matter of what round we draft a new runningback.

Shocker! You don't have to watch too much game film to see these two are not starters! But we let our former 1st rounder walk for FREE! OUCH!

Really now???? Wow, they are about 8 months to late on that, draft Lattimore in the 3rd and let him heal or a few more months, then start him. What other RB's will be there in the 3rd(Ktrain)??

Franklin is probably a second rounder,

Id imagine Gio Bernard will be there in the 3rd, hes a fragile guy but very very talented. Andre Ellington is another guy they might look at in the 3rd, and ugh....bell

Of the 2 listed, I think we will draft a RB in round 2 or 3. The Franklin kid or Bell looks good. Later rounds (6th) could produce Knile Davis. Don't count out Lattimore.

I like Redman in goal line or short yardage, but his age pits him in a losing battle with Dwyer, if only one is kept.

    "That's shocking!"
    -No one ever.

Redman has never been anyhting but a situational back. He's decent on 3rd and short, but overall he and Dwyer have both been pretty disappointing. I was somewhat high on both, but was let down big time last year. I like the idea of giving Bradshaw a shot and drafting a long-term prospect.

Bouchette said last week that the Steelers see Redman as the better back over Dwyer...
