Sidney Crosby visited with Pittsburgh Penguins teammates prior to an optional practice at Consol Energy Center on Thursday, one day after they lost their second in a row in blowout fashion since their captain left the lineup with a broken jaw.
Crosby did not speak with the media, but he spoke with some Penguins personnel, and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported he also met with Jarome Iginla and coach Dan Bylsma. Crosby did not work out.
Crosby had emergency surgery Saturday to repair a broken jaw, an injury he suffered in the game against the New York Islanders earlier in the day. He reportedly had another dental procedure preformed Wednesday and, according to the Post-Gazette, Bylsma said Crosby faces more dental work.
The Penguins maintain that Crosby has shown no concussion symptoms since the injury and list him as being out indefinitely.
Since Crosby has been out, the Penguins have lost to the Buffalo Sabres, 4-1, and to the New York Rangers, 6.1
