Arrow Steelers are keeping Emmanuel Sanders

Apparently they just matched the Patriots' offer.

Let the tirades begin. :-) Of course, if they did not match, there would be another group of people complaining.

Hey Crash, I thought the Rooney's never did what Ben wanted?

I like the move to keep him. We have enough unknowns and holes to fill on offense at least we know we got a quality guy to play the slot.

My stance is if the Steelers have no plans on keeping Sanders long term like they did with Wallace then it really doesn't make sense to match the Pats offer....I rather get something in return for Sanders this year then nothing in return next year when Sanders probably will leave as an unrestricted free agent....

I agree, I would have rather had the pick.

I just threw up in my mouth. Dumb *** move, he leaves after this year and we get nothing.

From what I heard the Steelers was 50/50 on Sanders and guess Ben's comments lead them to keep him. Myself was also 50/50 on that matter but sometimes the grass is always greener on the other side and keeping Manny may have been the smart thing to do.

Looks like now the Steelers need to trim some fat elsewhere to pay the draft picks after matching this offer.

Well, they have the Colon money coming in June to cover that. It does probably short-circuit any chance at a free agent (Bradshaw) without further contract restructures though.
