Taking Tyler Bray, QB, in the 2nd round?

This one has been gaining a bit of steam in the last several days from sites I've read. With Tomlin and Colbert seeking out Bray at his pro day and rumored to have already scheduled a private meeting in Pittsburgh, perhaps they would consider taking him in the 2nd? I've seen some say he's a second rounder, others a 3rd.

If he's there, and it seems likely he would be if they want him then; also considering the other needs that the Steelers have, do you consider drafting Ben's eventual replacement now?

id have no objection to him in the second at all, it might be tough to swallow depending who else is on the board at the time but theres a chance he might really be the BPA. First round talent, second round mechanics, third round head

Terrible pick if they intend to keep Ben around. Receivers leaving, 2 average RBs under contract and Heath Miller is hurt.

In the 2nd round? Bad pick.

The only way it isn't for them is if Ben's leaving after 2013.

    Connect the dots.

Ben due for a new contract.

Yinzer Gradkowski signed for 3 years as a backup.

And now tey are sniffing around 2nd round QBs.

Not hard to figure out why.

I like Bray a lot... He's the only QB I would be happy drafting anywhere in round 2-4.

Let Ben go. His act is old and I am tired of this team catering to his ***. He has way too much power and he has obviously lost the hunger to play at a high level anymore. He will eventually go to Arizona to save his buddy's *** who will be on the hot seat by then. Time for the heir apparent in Pittsburgh. If Bray is there in the 2nd grab him and then say goodbye to Ben when his contract is up. Time to get young, healthy and hungry again.

this team would have gone deeper into the playoffs the last 2 years if they had a valuable backup QB...this wouldnt be like drafitng dixon, this is drafting a guy that could have 3 routes

    Excellent backup
    Future Starter
Trade for a high pick to a QB needy team

Ideally id like them to trade up from the third round back into the second and get bray...1, 2, 2, with the last 2 being bray

I think we have greater needs as of now for the future. We just signed a solid backup QB for a few years if he stays. Im not saying dont draft a QB to backup Ben in 3 seasons. Just, this season we need more help on other positions on the field.

If we drafted him in the 3rd or later. I wouldnt mind. No way in the 2nd round.

I think this team has too many needs to be taking a "backup" anything in the second round. Also, I am not too confident that Ben would react well to the Steelers drafting his sucessor. They might need to put that off for a while.
