Pats take scrubs and make them all-world producers at WR, then they leave and turn back into pumpkins at the strike of midnight.

The Patriots officially offered Sanders a contract today.

Now lets see if the Steelers match.

Take the 3rd round pick and run, IMHO.

This team is asleep at the wheel. trade ben now for three firsts and a few seconds and thirds... its rebuild time...

Its a good year to trade Ben, there are zero QB's in the draft worth a crap.

They offered him a tender...thats all they could really afford to do.

I hope they take the 3rd rounder, give them a little urgency in addressing the offense for christ sake....we could walk away with patterson and hunter in the first 2 rounds...or hunter/wheaton....something like that.

This is a big loss not because Sanders is that great but because we are looking at having to draft two WRs and use them as vital pieces in our offense this year. Of course, I am assuming the Steelers do not match.

You will see a lot of Ben throws it one way and the WR goes the other type of interceptions this season.

Not only will the Steelers receive a 3rd round pick but will add 1.3 million to salary cap.

Sanders would be a UFA next year.

3rd round pick that will be on the team for 4 years + 1.3 mil > one year of Sanders
