You mean looking at the young guys and seeing what they really have? In a game that didn't matter to the season at all at that point? How dare you try and be logical!

I heard those comments about his football IQ as well. I definitely admire Patterson's gifts, but I also think he'll be off the board when we select in the first round. Despite what we might wish, we all know the Steelers won't go WR in the 1st. I'll be very surprised if they do. If Jonathan Cooper is there, I bet they take him, as it will be hard for them to pass on his versatility. But then Jarvis might be there at 17.... I'd love to see that. With all of this stuff happening in free agency, I feel like I now have a serious case of attention deficit disorder.

Not this guy. I've disliked Tomlin the day he got hired. I felt it was a sympathy hire to make the Rooney's look good. I have never been impressed with him and the only reason he was in the Super Bowl was because he didn't build the team he went there with. (i.e Barry Switzer and George Seifert)

eactly, scouts, combine lovers and mike mayock can all die for I care.

I don't care if we have a rapist, murderer or woman beater on our team.

If he scores touchdowns, then I'm rooting for him

I think we would have drafted #10 or #11 had Cleveland beaten us. Although I never advocate losing, to trot all your starters out in a game that was pretty much meaningless is beyond my comprehension. Well, we may all have to get used to losing to Cleveland for a while.

Re: Sanders Signs Offer with Pats

You don't throw a game at home to move up in the draft. This game is about money and all those fans paying money, lots of money, to see a game at Heinz field deserved to see the Steelers play hard and win if possible. Losing to move up 5 draft spots will never be logical. This franchise is about winning and they will NEVER throw a game, especially for 5 spots in the draft.

And that is my point..we need to trade back, pick up additional picks and go from there. But when has Colbert EVER shown you the ability to trade down? This team needs a serious replinishment of talent. And you can't do it with 7 picks, and then on top of that, we have a defensive coordinator who won't play new players anyway!!!!!!!!!!!

We learned last off-season how management just pulls Tomlin's strings and he dances like a little puppet. So....when are we going to be able to play talented rookie players on our defense????? How is it that Von Miller can just come in his rookie season and be such a force? But we can't do that at our linebacker positions? What's wrong with this picture?
um because Von miller was picked 1st or second overall i think he was the best defensive player in his draft if the steelers could have picked him they would have and as far as tomlin being a puppet do you tell your boss what to do i doubt you do
