Reports out that Willie Colon signed a 1 year, 1.2 million dollar deal with the Jets........A good deal for the Jets imo...at 6.4 Million Colon was way overpaid. At 1.2 mil it's not a bad deal at all.

The New York Jets have seen player after player walk out the door, but the team on Friday added a pair of free agents on offense.

After signing running back Mike Goodson, the Jets agreed to terms with veteran offensive lineman Willie Colon on a one-year, $1.2 million contract, a source told The Sideline View's Adam Caplan .

Colon was released by the Steelers this week after starting 62 games for Pittsburgh since 2006. He's been sidelined by injuries in recent years, ending the past three campaigns on injured reserve, but Colon is a versatile lineman when healthy.

Colon brings experience at the tackle and guard position and makes sense as a depth move for the Jets . It's possible the team sees him as a replacement for Brandon Moore at right tackle, but considering Colon's inability to stay on the field, New York better have a backup plan.
