Seriously, We have Ben... we pay him top dollar.. He should have the Best WR's, TE's, FB and a RB with great hands.
Plus an OL to keep him in the game...
He has 0 TE right now. He is missing 2 WR a tall one and a fast one. Plax is a backup.
He has Dwyers which i think is ok.. We never use him, when we did he had back to back 100+ yard games. He avg's over 4 ypc.. hes ok with an OL that functions of course....
I really like Will Johnson, now we have to deal with this 85 again.. why? we dont know why.
We have 0 TE's The TE tasks are to Block, Catch, get into space and protect the QB.. We have 0 TE right now.
I do think that AB could be a solid #1 WR. Just because he doesn't score many TDs doesn't mean a whole lot. His 2011 season was awesome, 2012 was disappointing but he can hopefully get back to 2011 form. Sanders could be a #2, he shows flashes of being a really really good WR, he just has to stay healthy. Jerico and Plax are very good role players, Cotch can do most anything you ask of him and Plax is a nice big target. Both are past their prime, but still can be valuable. I think the big ? this season is when Heath will be back and how good will he be? If he returns 100% then I think we have a great offense....if we can run the ball. If he is slowed by the injury or does not return until late in the season, then we better have one hell of a running game (don't count on it lol)
Anyways for the first time in forever (maybe 99-2000?) I am not at all optimistic heading into this season. We are just too weak at too many positions, and apparently even though Colbert hinted at big changes what he really meant was that we were going to get rid of our best OLB, WR, and RB. We cannot plug and play guys from the draft into those positions and expect a whole lot...well maybe RB.
I like big hits and I cannot lie
OLB - an old man gone.. We have Worilds need a draft pick.
WR - a loss... We have no replacement Plaxico is old.
RB - a mental case gone. We have Dwyer and Redman.
TE - Down till Nov... We have none... Noone cares i guess. Maybe Ben does.
ILB - we kept an old Foote we lost Spence.. We need one ILB bad. We need FA here and a draft pick.
uh no... it's kind of a big deal
He has shown no such flash. He hasn't shown even the slightest hint of being more than a #3 WR.Sanders could be a #2, he shows flashes of being a really really good WR, he just has to stay healthy.
I'm glad we have 2 seasoned vets that can be package and situanal specific players, with enough tread left to step into the starters role for a few quarters due to injuryJerico and Plax are very good role players, Cotch can do most anything you ask of him and Plax is a nice big target. Both are past their prime, but still can be valuable.
50 yd line, 17 points, 4th quarter something, excuse, excuse, afraid
