He only got a 1 year contract because the Cards are smart enough to realize this a VERY talented guy, but a head case just the same.

Now that Welker has signed with the Broncos, does anyone else think that New England will make a push for Emmanuel Sanders, considering his low compensation?

Not a huge deal, especially since he signed with AZ, but apparently the Steelers pursued Lorenzo Alexander.

Where did all the money the Woodley and Colon contracts created go?

To not even try to get Steven Jackson? Joke.

Ed Reed to visit Houston Texans on Thursday

    By Chris Wesseling

The Baltimore Ravens have already lost Ray Lewis, Dannell Ellerbe and Paul Kruger from their Super Bowl -winning defense.

Could Ed Reed be the next to leave Charm City?

The nine-time Pro Bowl er will visit the Houston Texans on Thursday, confirms NFL.com's Albert Breer .

The Texans badly wanted to re-sign safety Glover Quin, but couldn't compete financially with the Detroit Lions ' offer. If signed to play in Wade Phillips ' defense, Reed would fill the vacancy left by Quin while presumably saving salary-cap space in the trade-off.

Should Reed make it out of Houston without a contract, he has possible visits with the San Francisco 49ers and Indianapolis Colts , reports CBSSports.com's Jason LaCanfora .

With strong safety Bernard Pollard 's recent release, the Ravens have already shed one of the two veterans who reportedly played the role of an instigator in a near "mutiny" last October. The other one may not be far behind.

We lose Wallace, Mendy and we just say oh well! The pats lose welker, they make a splash! This is why some teams are always good year in and year out. The steelers are too but struggle and make it look difficult.

steelers never have the money to make a big splash...rather than try to go out and get 1 big name and use up any space they have, they patch positions with scrubs to save a buck...our most exciting acquisition so far has been a backup QB....
