    TE Market

I believe this is one area where the Steelers could be minor players in the FA market. I have a feeling that even if Heath can play in September, he will not be "Heath" for a while. There are a lot of TEs on the market this year, so one may slip down to bargain prices. They include:

Jared Cook (probably going to Rams to be with Fisher)
    Dustin Keller
    Fred Davis
    Martellus Bennet
    Delanie Walker

Walker and davis would be awesome, but they are too pricey...the steelers wont be signing many FAs.

Paulson is ok, i think they could target Eifert, Ertz, Escobar, or reed in rounds 1-3 respectively

I'd love to get Walker... he was #2 on my list of Steelers free agent targets that won't break the bank

i think walker is going to want to make quite a bit of money, he showed his worth last year and will probably want to make good money and not be a #2 anymore

I agree that some of those would definitely be too pricey. I love the "Swiss Army Knife" Walker, but he will receive more than we can offer. And they could address this through the draft as you say, BUT we have tons of areas that need addressing, more than we can draft. It seems like someone has to come as a cheap (relatively) FA.

And I am not sure how this fits into Haley's offense, but another quality TE (like Walker) could cover for a weakened WR crew. The thought of Walker and Heath running down the middle a la Gronk and Hernandez is exciting and would mitigate the weak WRs.

TE money is really tricky... especially for guys who don't have a history.

Jacob Tamme got a 3 yr / 9 mil contract in Denver

That's the ball park I'd be willing to play in for Delanie Walker

I could see them drafting a TE early in the draft.

We need to find a Farrior in FA this year reasonable... Then draft Eifert.
