Actually, the first one was released on the other Steelers site .. lol. People started a thread with my name on it .. and asked that I write one before the preseason started ...to pump them up... LOL so Ill share it here - for those who didnt see it.Originally Posted by SteelCityMan786

The offseason hasn't been the best though it could have been worse
It seems like an "I just won the Superbowl" curse
Bettis went away although that was no surprise
It's still hard to think he's no longer one of our guys
Randle El was tempted by the almighty dollar
But we got a replacement a little faster and taller
I'm speaking of our #1 draft choice, Santonio Holmes
I hope I can write about him in my season poems
The field is where he belongs - not some jail cell
That's not who a Steeler is - but only time will tell
That day in June was the real heartbreak
Ben could have died for goodness sake
Good news is he's recovering fast and he says he wants to play
When Miami comes to town on Opening Day
We love our Steelers win or lose
Keep in mind though -Steelers win their Superbowls in twos
Football season is almost here - we can all get our fix
And there you have it - my first poem of 2006
