    Interest in Breaston?

    According to KFFL...

Steelers | Might be interested in Steve Breaston
    Tue, 19 Feb 2013 18:39:27 -0800

The Pittsburgh Steelers do not have a lot of room under the salary cap to sign many free-agents, but recently released WR Steve Breaston (Chiefs) could be on their radar. Breaston was a favorite of offensive coordinator Todd Haley, who was previously the head coach with the Kansas City Chiefs.

breaston was a haley guy and suffered from that last year in KC...i almost think hes a lock to brought in, and really hes enough of a downfield threat to step in an be a productive guy in the offense

As long as we can afford him, I'd be OK with it. We need help in many areas, there are only 7 rounds in the draft (although we may get an extra comp pick or, they usually are in the 7th round). Maybe pick-up Breaston and address the WR position in a year or two.

I still say LB is our top concern in the upcoming draft.

Address the WR in a year or two?....Even if Breaston is signed the WR position needs to be addressed this year....

I'm down. He can be a solid productive player under Haley again.

wouldn't mind but I don't think we will bring him in.

If we do, I would like it.

Ask yourself this, when the Steelers draft, who would be the most impact player, Breaston, or a mid 1st round pick WR (not that I see the Steelers taking a WR in 1st round)? I say Breaston. Wasn't he also with Haley in Arizona?

For the right price, why not? Doesn't hurt to look.

Agree! I was thinking this too. Breaston can improve our WR core, and he works well with Haley. If we have the $$, do it.

We need a big WR, I would rather go young in the draft, We dont need another 6ft wide receiver for Ben, we need a taller guy for him.

I am on board ONLY if it is for a 1 year deal to see what he has. Thats just my opinion. If the Steelers are going to miss Heath for a extended part of the season upcoming, who is the Big target we look for? Just a thought.
