TJ mcdonald is a second round player, certainly better than taylor mays or darnell bing. Him in the 4th would be amazing.

that whole draft would be amazing, really an unfair draft class

    1) Jarvis Jones
    2) DeAndre Hopkins
    3) Montee Ball
    4) TJ McDonald

The first two rounds couldn't be more perfect. I don't love Montee Ball, and there were better options available, but I wouldn't hate it. TJ McDonald has good value in the 4th.
I would be happy with that draft....I'm with you about Ball since I do like other RB's more but still if the Steelers came away with those four with their first four picks then really we all should be happy as fans.......

Like many of you, I think we're going OLB/DE in the first round. We may lose the great J. Harrison (just typing those words made my stomach hurt) and we still suffer from a lack of depth at linebacker. We need a talented edge rusher with the drive and intelligence to compete quickly for a starting spot. We should be thankful that this draft offers us some excellent prospects.

Is it true that Jarvis Jones has the spinal issue behind him? Or at least that he's been cleared to play?

well thats the question that should be answered after he is examined by team doctors over the enxt few weeks. I imagine some will clear him, some will see it too risky and take him off their boards.

He is an amazing pass rusher, imo better than von miller was....although similar players

INDIANAPOLIS -- University of Georgia outside linebacker Jarvis Jones won't work out at the NFL Scouting Combine, a source close to him said Thursday.

Jones will work out for scouts at Georgia's pro day March 21.

According to NFL Network's Mike Mayock, Jones was the second-ranked outside linebacker coming into the combine.

Okay, he's not at the combine; thanks for that update. I really do hope that (1) he's healthy and (2) he's an option for us.

He'll be there. He'll go through the medical and interview processes. He's just not working out.

Draft more defense so they can sit and "learn" the system for 2 years in a league that's phasing defense out.

Scoring is great, but I still hope... I really HOPE... that our Steelers will have the best D; the other side can't win if it can't score.

That said, we better start filling those gaps on offense. Our tactic will almost certainly be "BPA". I recently learned that acronym.

The other side can't score when the offense keeps the defense on the sidelines either.

Which is the key to our defense's "ranking". Always has been.
