In 2013 Ben Set to Pass Five HOF QBs

Being sick & tired of all the Flacco talk, time to remember, in the words of Charlie Sheen... winning! And a proven winner.
In nine NFL seasons, Ben Roethlisberger has won 87 games, ranking 26th all-time and putting him just 20 wins behind Steeler great Terry Bradshaw. Bradshaw is 9th all-time, but will likely be passed next season by Drew Brees, who is currently 12th all-time with 99 wins.
Barring injury or a catastrophic year, Ben should, in 2013, pass the following five Hall-of-Fame (HOF) Qbs currently ranked 18th-22nd :

    18. Steve Young (94)
    19. Bart Starr (94)
    20. Len Dawson (94)
    21. Troy aikman (94)
    22. Bob Griese (92)

A solid 10-win season will propel Ben past Phil Simms (95) and Ken Stabler (96). A superlative 12-win season will rocket Ben past Drew Bledsoe, Dave Kreig, and Donovan McNabb (all who posted 98 career wins), putting Ben at the # 13 spot all-time. Numbers ten and eleven all-time, Warren Moon-HOF (102), and Jim Kelly-HOF (101), respectively, will not likely be passed until the 2014 regular season. Only three active Qbs have won more games than Big Ben: Peyton Manning (154) Tom Brady (136), and Brees (99).

Even looking at all time yards and Tds one could make the case that he'll finish his career near the top 10 in both

Add 2 rings to his projected career wins, yards, TDs... Total lock for the hall. 1st or 2nd ballot no doubt

He's a lock. Three SB starts, regardless of record puts you in Canton. Especially if they vote Warner in.

Stat wise by the time Ben retires he'll be a Hall of Famer, no question about it. However, given the way the idiot voters' minds work, I wouldn't be shocked to see Ben get snubbed in his first ballot.

Hopefully by the time he retires, some of the dumbasses on that committee will either be dead or have gotten their heads out of their asses enough to realize that when a player deserves to be put in, he should be put in. None of this political crap of who should get in over who, and "oh well we can't have too many of this position get in, in the same year".

See this HOF crap always pisses me off, it's such a crap shoot.

Warner has an MVP reg and super bowl. Additional hardware makes up for short career that started late and was interrupted.

His accolades in a short span are enough for me.

He's like the cut off though.

You'd think so. But there is a QB with 2 SB wins who's not in the HOF: Jim Plunkett. Hard to fathom why
Stabler never got in either. Given Ben's negative public persona he's gonna need all the stats he can muster. Ever notice how there's no Big Ben among the star players highlighted on NBC's SNF intro (with Faith Hill)?

I don't care for the winey stuff. I don't really care what the media says. If Ben isn't in the hall by the 2nd-3rd ballot, I will complain about it.

Plunkett's career is a joke. Three teams, mediocre stats.

Stabler isn't in because he hung around too long. Had he quit around 1980 or so IMO he would have gotten in.

Warner had six good years. If he makes it? Terrell Davis should also.
